  1. I play a fair amount of competitive Gremlins, but this is a tough one to answer because lists change drastically depending on the master/ schemes. Keeping it short and sweet though: Merris- Makes it in into almost every list I build. She is a great scheme runner who can pretty much get you three or more points by herself thanks to her zero action. She also is a really hard counter to anyone who relies on blasting and pulses. Old Cranky- Pretty much the best totem we have. He is an auto include for me when a master doesn't need a specific totem (an example would be Brew and Wesley). Card cycling, + to defense, increased WP, soul stone replenishment...all for 4 stones. Slop Haulers- Here is another model that can make it's way into literally almost every list. At 5 stones its one of the most efficient healers in the game. I take two with Ulix because it allows Ulix to summon and heal his pigs indiscriminately. Trixibelle- Another really competitive model that could find her way into most competitive lists. She can run schemes, manipulate the board, and has the ability to cheat priority (one of only two models who can), which can be huge for some strats and schemes. Beaters- When I need to put out some serious damage I will usually turn to the likes of Francois or McTavish. McTavish with OOO Glowy (Wong's upgrade) is regularly offing at least one model a turn while sitting back in relative safety. Francois on there other hand must get into the thick of it to do his damage. He isn't the toughest model in the world so he will tend to get killed after his strike, but he puts out some insane damage. You just have to make sure the trade off is worth losing him, and since he comes in at only 7 stones its no big loss if you cant get him out of there. Stuffed piglets- I think these guys are worth a mention simply based off of how efficient they are. Yeah they are insignificant, but they are invaluable as early activations to protect your more important activations. I just run them up without a care in the world to engage my enemy. I find that my opponent will actually consider them in his/her game plan, which is a win win when you have a 2 stone model you don't care about effecting the outcome of the game. I take three with Wong for some extra blasting fun. Those are really the only models I can think off that would find their way into any of my lists with the exception of Bayou Gremlins. I read that you had some interest in running Ulix and Wong. I will give you a rundown of the models I typically run with them and hopefully that may give you some ideas. Ulix: Old Major Gracie Old Cranky Merris 2x slophaulers Wong: Old Cranky Sammi Lacroix McTavish Lightning Bug 3x Stuffed Piglets Bayou Gator Trixibelle Hope this helps. Let me know if you have questions.
  2. I was actually really interested in Archie, but have no clue what his role is. There is whole upgrade swap aspect of him, yeah? Could you tell me a bit about him. Pullmyfinger doesn't seem to have anything in him yet.
  3. Other than the upgrades, any criticism of the actual models im choosing or is this solid enough? I just want to make sure before I paint these guys.
  4. Its pretty simple for me to choose when I want to use her. Do I need something dead? Does my entire game plan revolve around killing a single solitary model? If yes then I take Ophelia. Its easy to say take her if you want to do damage, but I honestly find that Wong is better at doing mass amounts of damage and also has more scheme running ability. She simply excells at being able to down just about any model in the game in a single activation. I dont generally find her useful outside of that. For me she is always on deck, but rarely ever finds her way into the rotation with masters like Ulix and Wong.
  5. What is "My Little Helper"? I cant seem to find it anywhere.
  6. It's been a while since I posted anything on here...again. Here is what I have been up to with the green buggers!
  7. He is very situtational. Most all of his abilities are amazing, truly, but in the end he is just wp 1 and isn't all that hard to kill if you opponent has their mind set on it. In the end the only times I use him are when I can keep him back safe and use him as a rams battery, or when I want to toss someone like Francois as an alpha strike. He also makes for a pretty devastating trio with Burt and Trixi, although it is an exceedingly expensive collection of models to keep grouped up. In the end, he can be very effective, but you must be very choosy on when to use him. He can be very vulnerable. I think cuddleing him was completey unnecessary, so he will probably see even less play unfortumately. As if wp 1 wasn't enough.
  8. So as you can probably tell by my avatar, im a avid Gremlin player. I havent dabbled with any other factions until now with Ressurs. I have decided that I wanted to start with horror Molly. As I understand it spirit is stronger, but horror includes the models that made me want to get into Ressurs in the first place. I dont plan on getting competitive with them just yet, ill save my Gremlins for tournaments, but what I do want to do is create a list that will generally always give me a fighting chance, while also allowing me the opportunity to learn the basic principles of playing Molly and some of the Ressur models in general... and to have a little fun of course. The current idea goes something like this: Molly - Tears of the Gorgon - Forgotten Life Madame Sybelle - Bleeding Tongue Yin Killjoy 2x Belles My initial concerns: I have never run a crew with so few models before. The obvious suggestion would be to drop Killjoy to free up some points, and I wouldn't blame you for suggesting it. I don't think he's generally worth the points. I look at him and think to myself that Francois does just as much damage for half the cost. But he seems fun and I'd like to see just how capable he is and how well Molly can distribute him. So if I dont get rid of Killjoy, the next model I look at is Yin. I hear he has great synergy with Molly, but its hard to say without playing a single game yet. So thats where you guys come in. What do you think? I just want to solidify the list before I build and paint it. I plan on just using the one list to mess around with for a while before expanding so I definitey want to nail it down. Any suggestions or is it solid enough to get away with?
  9. So I'm a Gremlin player and haven't started playing Ressurs yet, but I find its generally pretty easy to just block her charge lanes when I summon with Ulix. I also hear that Molly somewhat has an affinity with Killjoy because of her ability to basically place him anywhere whenever she wants (with Sybelle). I don't find Killjoy to be the most competitive choice, but I imagine he really would make Taelor think twice about going around and charging things that get summoned considering that he will just unburry next to a debuffed (as long as Molly does her job) version of her. ...but again I dont play Ressurs so I may be incorrect.
  10. I get that. My paint style on the new malifaux plastics comes out very animated and in high contrast. It is interesting because my paint style with other minis, like gw for instance, is much more realistic. Funny how these models bring that out, which is so appropriate.
  11. Finally finished this porker. This one took a little while... shes got so much junk to paint.
