  1. I've yet to lose my Master when playing as Guild in 2E and I've never had Franco in my team so I find it hard to believe he is really THAT much of an autopick for so many others. His name keeps popping up on literally every "What to buy first/Where to go from here?" thread so... Does everyone else face opponents who beeline for their Master so hard the only answer is Franco? o.o More on topic, the LM is a bucket load of fun. Reliable shootin' n' scootin' combined with good manoeuvrability has made him a decent (though thus far not GREAT) scheme runner. Need to do more testing to say anything more conclusive, but so far he seems like a solid piece. Plant Evidence has served him well.
  2. I had to read this twice before I was able to believe my eyes. Dgraz made a post without any ellipses! o_o The doggies with Lucas McIndianaJones seem almost mandatory for any game where you need to run objectives near/in the enemy deployment zone. I'd go with at least Luna+2 in those situations, but the more the merrier, eh?
  3. Huh... I always thought it was a push. Then again I'm not a dirty resser and my most regular opponent uses Lure mostly on his own guys so no wonder I get it wrong. x3
  4. All the more reason to have Sidir around with his upgrade, since he just laughs it off and can then be positioned in such a way that it'll stop further lures from dragging McCabe. I'll have to actually try McCabe sometime soon for the first time (in 2e). This thread makes him seems like a lot of fun!
  5. My go-to heavy guy is, without a doubt, Ryle. As long as the opponent can't ignore Armor, Ryle is ridiculously tanky (and gives value to all those low Tomes you might have in your hand that would otherwise be useless) and can dish out the hurt both in melee and at range.
  6. You wot mate? My experience with Ryle is that he's damnably fast for a Guild model and his gun has a reasonable range to boot. Tough as nails, too, if enemy lacks armor piercing attacks. One or two turns of Socially Repressed and he's bound to be in a reasonable spot to "lay the dakka" as some would put it and heavens have mercy on anyone in melee with him... He punches HARD. =P So yes, I highly recommend using Ryle in a Lucius crew; almost (but only almost) more so than good ol' Captain Tassels!
  7. More points in favor of Sonnia and Sidir, who both have ways of ruining the day for Beckoners and clumped-up crews.
  8. Not much of a tournament player myself (I don't even know if there are any official tournaments here in Finland) and if I were to participate I'd probably take either Guild or 10T. My Outcasts are for more casual kitchentable play, so I think I'll be fine even if I can't make my conversion "tournament legal". =P But for those who are thinking of converting a Steam Trunk AND are tournament players, Omenbringer's advice is quite sound.
  9. Only if he leads a Crew. If Lynch is around, Huggy is a Totem (Though he might retain Henchman status too; can't remember his card by heart).
  10. Hmmm... I hope Wyrd will eventually sell the Steam Trunk as a separate model. I don't have use for a third Librarian/Trapper/Specialist or fifth and sixth Freikorpsman, much less a skipping, pidgeon-shooting duplicate of Von Facewrecker x3 In all reality I'll probably have to convert the Trunk, but a man can dream~
  11. So glad to see people already doing fanmade stuff for TtB to patch up any holes in the system itself. Mal, you da man. Do keep up the good work!
  12. I just call him Mr.Hoppykins =P ...and yeah, his 2e incarnation is ridiculously awesome!
  13. Huh... Well, serves me (and my opponent) right for not knowing the rules well enough yet. Cheers for clearing that up, it did seem like a superbly frustrating thing to face!
  14. Use Carrion Away to move a corpse marker, raise it as a Necropunk, Necropunk isn't Slow because Nicodem's creations give no ****s, Leap and Deliver a Message for easy, instant profit. The frustration of your foes will be immense, because there's bugger all that can be done to stop it. Just one use of the Carrion Away that makes me grind my teeth in frustration so hard sparks fly out of the corner of my mouth =P
