Type of event: 3 round summer themed tournament, Farewell to M1E Sunday September 8th, 2013 starting at 12p Players will predetermine there master before starting the first round. Everyone can bring a pool of up to 60ss worth of miniatures to select from for there games. Each game will be played at 35ss. If a player can't or chooses not to bring the full 60ss pool that is ok as long as they meet the 35ss play level for there games. During play players will not be able to reuse the same schemes game to game. Use them one time only during the tournament. The games themselves will be summer themed to help encourage fun over the competition. The gaining ground score system will be used to determine placements. I encourage painted crews by providing bonuses to them. Also players should bring all there own supplies aka fate deck, tape measure, tokens/counters, rule book. Sunday August 4th, 2013 starting at 12p Players can bring any models they want. Each game can be played with a different crew if desired. Players will be be trying to accumulate VPs as well as campaign points to advance in the campaign rankings.Each game will be played at 35ss. The games themselves will be summer themed to help encourage fun over the competition. The gaining ground score system will be used to determine placements as well as a campaign check sheet. Choose your own opponents and play as many or as few games as you like: you earn achievement points over the course of the day by playing games against different opponents, completing Schemes, playing with painted models, bringing friends who are new to the game, and achieving a variety of in-game objectives. Whether you're a total newbie, a casual player, a hobby enthusiast, or a competitive player, Dead of Winter offers lots of opportunities to earn points and have fun! Our Wyrd Henchman, John, will be here all day to run the event and show new players how to play the game! Entry fee is $5, and all fees (plus a little extra thrown in by us!) go towards prizes, which will be awarded for a variety of achievements! Where were some hard fought battles and lots of good games with Pandora and Lady justice battling for top honors. Each week we will increase our game pools by 5 stones and the final week will be a Swiss format tournament.
