  1. Interesting, it's one of the first, if not the first upgrade I put on my master. Maybe it's dependent on the master you play? I'm pretty much only playing Colette when I'm playing and she doesn't really care about her upgrades anyway. Still, I do think that 1ss for a much higher chance to determine activation order is amazing. It won't matter all the time, but when it does matter it can be seriously powerful.
  2. I'd quite happily give up the doves for the child, I don't use the doves anyway. And being able to do I a Prompt without activating Colette can be quite handy.
  3. Interesting, I only take Fugue State in special circumstances, however I almost always take Fears Given Form on her. But yeah, it really depends. Both in the models in question and the stray and schemes. Colette for instance is rarely upgrade heavy. Most times I send 2ss on her and maybe 2-3 on the crew. A master like Raspoutina or Ramos is much more upgrade heavy. But it really depends on what you need to do in the game. But forgetting them usually isn't a problem.
  4. Can't believe I didn't think of this before, but a hand holding her cane would be pretty awesome. Especially since its on her card.
  5. I've been waiting to see these for ages and overall I really like them. I'm not terribly keen on the flames in her hand, it just seems a bit odd and not really in character for Colette. I can understand not wanting to go with cards though, as that's really much more Jakob. But I'm not sure she needs anything in her hand at all really. In any case, we can always hope there are a few optional hands. The only other complaint I have about Colette is the stitching on the hat. It just seems a little weird and despite the corset and the braces it seems out of place. As someone else said, it's much more a resurrectionist hat. It's obviously a bit different feel to the old one. It's much more wild west and less New Orleans and I doubt I'll get rid of my old one. But I really do like this one. The mannequin looks like a huge improvement over the old models who, lets be honest, are fairly boring models. I don't really use mannequins but at least these looks like they could be fun to paint up and look cool. It also makes me very hopeful that I'll get some Coryphee models I don't hate so I can start using those.
  6. I'm still having problems. It's not so much that it's slow to do things, it's that the site sometimes (often) just stops loading. It will still look like it's loading, but it's stopped halfway through a post/thread and nothing more happens. And reloading doesn't seem to do anything either.
  7. James Goddard should have paid as well. At least that's what he said last time I prodded him to buy a ticket!
  8. Primodial Magic is a good one, I use that more than the Poltergiest. Teddy is another good model, especially if you like Kade. Insidius Madness is an amazing utility/Scheme runner model and Beckoners are pretty handy. And the Illuminated is probably the best mid-range fighter in Neverborn. Dobbleganger is another really good one, being able to cheat the Initiative flip is amazing.
  9. I'd actually put Arcanists in there as well. They can run some radically different crews depending on what master you are using.
  10. The only thing about that is remembering to space out correctly as Fears Given Form affects friendly models too. But it's pretty much standard equipment when I run Pandora.
  11. Bought tickets for me and Liz. And I poked James to buy his ticket, so that should happen soon too. And we will almost certainly be playing Colette for me and the Viks for Liz.
  12. Another time to consider using focus is when hitting something (regardless of damage) have an important effect. It could be you have an effect on your attack that you need to go off or it could be that the threat of that effect will force your opponent to try and cheat out of the hit and focusing makes it much more likely they will have to spend a good card to do so. Same can apply to needing a suit for a trigger, it just makes it more likely that you get it. It's not always the 'optimal' use of resources, but if you can't spare the card to cheat for something it can be a viable alternative.
  13. I keep meaning to buy a box of them so I can run 4. Its only 28ss and it could be really mean with Colette.
  14. And don't forget the slow trigger on the Acolyte. Putting slow on key models (and in theory it could be up to 12? in a single turn) can go a long way to blunt your opponents plan. Joss, Howard, Acolyte and Cassandra would probably be my starting point. Another thing to consider is Metal Gamins if you want some cheap activations. They can be a real pain to deal with.
  15. It is a pretty good upgrade. I find that it's always a consideration, but it really depends on how the cost of the models I want/need works out. It's no good having the extra card if you don't have the right thing to spend it on.
