Hia! After a bit of a gap since Dead of Winter, lets kick up the pace again! On 27/4 we are going for an "Lost Love" inspired tournament! Location: Spel & Fantasi Kungsgatan 6 Karlstad, Sweden Time: We start att 11:00 Rules: So, Lost Love Inspired, it's a Starter Box Only Torunament. You pick one of the Crew Boxes as you "core". To this, you may add 1 Totem (if not already included in the box). 1 more Box or Blister to the Crew (not another Crew Box). No Avatars or Henchmens (Henchmens may still be picked as leaders, just not as henchmen). 1 "Summoning" Blister/Box. With this you shall make an 25SS Crew. It will be fixed list with this 25SS crew you have chosen. The "Summoning" Blister/Box may not be IN the crew, but are purley for summoning (examples are Elecrical Creation, Young Nephelim grown from Terror Tots, Mindless Zombies). If there is any question on the Crew Creation restrictions, hit me up with a post or PM;) We will play 3 rounds, using the latest Gaining Grounds. Preparing for Kirai, I did bring Marcus Arcanists Crew - 35 - Scrap Marcus -- 5 Pool Jackalope [1ss] Hoarcat Pride [5ss] Night Terror [3ss] Night Terror [3ss] Silurid [5ss] Silurid [5ss] Silurid [5ss] Slate Ridge Mauler [7ss] to my suprice, Kirai was not waiting for me, instead my opponent brought: Ressurectionists Crew - 35 - Scrap Nicodem, The Undertaker -- 6 Pool Grave Spirit [1ss] Von Schill [10ss] Canine Remains [2ss] Canine Remains [2ss] Dead Rider [10ss] Mortimer, The Gravedigger [7ss] Even tho I was releived that Kirai stayed home sobbing, Von Schill+Dead Rider, 2 opponents I've only heard really really scary storys about, did put me on the cautios side. So, Shared Reconnoiter, standard deployment. I did pick: Kill Protogé on the Dead Rider, and Marcus own Scheme. He choose: State a Claim and Nico's own scheme (corpse counter recognnoiter). I won't go in on all the details, but just some general things. I learned how good Marcus (1) Howl ability is. This the Terrifying 13 Dead Rider less scary, and Nico's paraplyze spell harder to push through. I brought the Hoarcat Pride cause I thought that a 5ss significant model with Melee expert just had to be good! I can't say that I'm diapointed in the Hoarcat, they did kill the dogs (Ironic, right? XD). But the Dead Ride did a drive-by, reducing it to 2 wounds, leaving it pretty much useless. The siliruds was amazing! 2 of them got into combat with Nico, Dead Rider and the Grave Spirit. The third one ran... Reducing the Dead Rider to 1 wound in a single turn, forcing him to back of. My jackalope and a Night Terror kept Von Schill rather busy for a few turns. My slateridge mauler got paralyzed 2 turns in a row...buhu... Later on, my 2 remaining Siliruds jumped Nico. Reducing him to 1 Wound and 0 stones. The Dead rider came in, killing one, and leaving one with 1 wound. Nico took the final wound on the final silirud, so I used Multiply on my Jackalope, to place him in base, and the Jackalope killed Nico! WOHO! The game ended 4-4 Von Schill with 3 wound remaining in one corner Marcus in one The Slateridge Mauler in one and the Dead Rider on the Claim Jump in the last one. Good and fun game all in all. And new-won respect for Marcus and his petting farm!

Not only am I celebrating this with Demos on Friday the 7th Dec: http://www.wyrd-games.net/showthread.php?37388-A-Breach-in-Karlstad-DEMOS!-7th-Dec&p=478842#post478842 I am also hosting an "beginners" tournament on the 8th of Dec. It will start at 11:00 in the morning at: Spel & Fantasi Kungsgatan 6 652 24 Karlstad The format will be: 25SS Fixed list 3 rounds with no time limit. (We might have a lunchbreak depending on time and request) Only 1 Scheme per game (no extra Soul Stones gained), and Schemes are not unique. We will be playing: Shared Claim Jump Shared Deliver a Message Shared Plant Evidence Our local game club will be supplying us with an gift certificate aswell! WOHO! PRICES! However, the price will NOT go to the "winner" of the event. (We don't need "stomping" in a beginners event.) Thanks Adran for your input. AOE has been something I've been looking at, I just don't know where to look. Kaeris, Willie and Mei will be looked closer at for this. Even tho Marcus can do magical damage, his damage output is rather low. Get me right here, I love playing Marcus, but most of the time I feel he is 1 action short. I've been looking into Gamins, as you stated, I need significant bodies. My Ramatar thougths are around 2 things. 1: The off-chanse that Nico or another resser master will be waiting for me, using constructs will reduce the amount of Corpse Counters. 2: Ramatar can summon some significant models, and bounce around a bit. I think this is good for Reconnoiter. But as you stated, the Spirits ignore my Armor. That makes me sad=(. But I love your input! And will look closer at some tips you brought with you during the evening. More adivice are always welcome^^. //DeadRaven
