  1. I have a ton of 1st edition stat cards laying around. Most have been laminated but there are some that are not. Is there any kind of demand for these stat cards? I have no use for them.
  2. Thanks guys. I appreciate the validation.
  3. Okay, so going over the "Forging a Fated" section, I was getting a little confused about skills. From what I can gather, a skill's Rank number and Rating number are one in the same. Is this correct? So therefore, a skill's rating number can never go higher than 5 as that's the highest rank a skill can achieve. Am I correct in this also? Also, when assigning the skill values from the crossroads tarot, these values are put into the rating/rank box, right? Just wanted to make sure I was getting this part of character creation correct. Thanks to anyone who can verify/clarify.
  4. I've had mine since Saturday and I was pleasantly surprised I got it that early. I was unpleasantly surprised to see I was missing the head of the Nothing Beast. @Nathan, I know you guys are busy getting orders shipped, but do you have any estimation on when you guys will be processing damaged goods/missing pieces submissions?
  5. Site isn't completely fixed but it was enough for me to get my order in. I would expect them to close it down again to try and iron out the bugs. Be patient and you'll get your chance, everyone.
  6. Not closed, but still no worky. Access Denied when clicking on an item.
  7. Got the email you sent today. Thanks! ^.^
  8. Just stumbled across this post as I was wondering if there was any more new info on the League. Just to let you know, I never received an email about the new website. Checked my spam folder and everything. Nothing. The last email I got from ya was on Sept. 19. Also, I did want to try and get a little clarification like what SoulG asked. Are we to just contact the other players in our League and set up our own games and opponents? Also, in this fortnight, are we only to play against one opponent for one game?
  9. Here's a hopefully simple way to look at it. When you and your opponent determine the size of the encounter, you're deciding on how many soulstones you guys are going to use to hire your crew (i.e. 25ss). The soulstone size (or if you want to talk points) of your crew is how many soulstones you used to hire said crew. If you happen to have any left over soulstones, they go into your starting pool for use in the game (which already has some soulstones in it due to the Leader's cache). But keep in mind that the starting Soulstone pool can never exceed 7. If you used up 18 soulstones out of 25 soulstones to hire your crew and purchase upgrades, you have an 18 soulstone sized crew with 8 soulstones left over. In this particular case, you will have some soulstones going to waste. If your leader has a cache of 4, 3 of the 8 left over soulstones will go into your starting soulstone pool then 5 of those 8 left over soulstones are going in the trash never to be used again. If you used 23 soulstones out of 25 soulstones to hire your crew and upgrades, you have a 23 soulstone sized crew. Leaders (masters/henchmen) are basically your free model at the beginning of the hiring process. And that's basically the gist of it all. It seems like you may have had a Warhammer/Warmachine type mentality when it came to creating your "army" which in this case we call them crew as it's only a few models, not a gazillion. (yes I'm aware of the exageration.) I generally don't even think about the "point value" of the crew that I hired as most of the time it really doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is how well you pull off the strategies and schemes. Here's an example of the way I sometimes hire my crew. How you decide to look at the crew hiring process is totally up to you. The determined soulstones to use to hire our crews has been set to 25. I think about how many soulstones I would like to have for use in the game. I look at my leader's cache and determine if the leader's cache is enough for in-game use. Let's say I want at least 6 soulstones to use in game, and the leader has a cache of 3 Soulstones. That means I will have to take 3 soulstones from the 25 soulstones that was determined by both players for crew hiring. So therefore, after taking the 3 soulstones for my starting soulstone pool, I will have 22 soulstones left to use to hire my crew and purchase upgrades. If I still had 1 soulstone left over after hiring my crew and purchasing upgrades, that 1 soulstone would be able to go into my starting soulstone pool, as my current soulstone pool of 6 does not meet the maximum starting soulstone pool limit. But now with that 1 extra, I'm at my max number of soulstones allowed for my starting soulstone pool for use in the game. Hoe this all makes sense to you now.
  10. Email has been sent! ^.^ Also, posted a link to this thread in the Malifaux Vassal Google+ Community to spread the word just a tiny bit.
  11. I want to say that I think it's absolutely fantastic that the new plastic bases that are included with the new plastic minis are slotless!!! Thank you Wyrd and Co. for making that decision as it makes basing so much easier and now makes so much more sense seeing as tabs on the minis are now a thing of the past.
  12. I will tell you right now, you being in Louisiana, it's the humidity, not the paint. If you're going to use any kind of spray paint, it's best to make sure that the humidity level is below 60%. And I'll bet you're gonna have a hard time finding a good day to prime where you are.
  13. With so much negative and unprofessional attitudes towards company direction, I wouldn't trust that person with the responsibility to oversee a continuation of any version of the game. I know this has probably been said over and over, but I feel there are way too many people upset over something as trivial as a game and its evolution and acting like 5 year olds. If you don't like 2E, either stop playing and find a different game, keep playing with the classic rules and just know there you will not have anymore new models, or get used to 2E. Some people despise change and are unwilling to adapt and accept it no matter how positive the changes might be. But I feel no one should ever be malicious towards the creators of the game and characters you love only because you have a different opinion of how the game should grow (or how it should not grow in this case). To those who are complaining about the direction of Malifaux: this isn't your baby. It's the creators' and Wyrd's. If you want to support a Malifaux Classic, that's fine, but you do it by putting your best foot forward with the company that made it in the first place and do it in a positive and productive way. You don't demand. You work WITH Wyrd. You definitely don't disrespect the ones who made the game in the first place. /rant

    US Vassal?

I created a new Google+ community earlier this week that's geared specifically towards Vassal players. It's still in its infancy, but I'm hoping it grows. The main goal of it was to meet more people who play Malifaux via Vassal and have a better organization for creating events. It can be found here: https://plus.google.com/communities/107982058459975020448 Feel free to join.
