  1. Sorry guys, finally got the comparison pics.
  2. Sorry I didn't get comparison photos yet, this week was crazy. I will try and do it this week. So I am late with this update because I was at Waaaghpaca! this weekend and I also didn't get a ton painted either because of being there. I did get these rats done for one of my Jack Vasel Charity Auction listings. Also, I made a couple new movement trays in preparation for Waaaghpaca! Onto my Waaaghpaca! experience. It was a great time as usual, but I forgot to pictures of my games and just have one to share:) Friday afternoon I got into the Alehouse and played a pickup game against a witch elf army and got rocked, so I was a little worried about how things were going to go on Saturday. I also got a some board games in, but was hoping for some Triumph and Treachery as well, but missed out on that. This is the list I took: Slann Mage Priest Reservoir of Eldrtich Energy Soul of Stone Harmonic Convergence Focus of Mystery Channeling Staff Crown of Command BSB Skink Priest – Lore of Beasts Dispel Scroll Sarus Scar Veteran Stegadon Helm Dragonbane Gem Halberd Light Armor Cold One Saurus Warriors x30 Spawn Leader musician standard bearer Skink Skirmishers x10 with javelins Skink Skirmishers x10 with javelins Skink Skirmishers x10 Kroxigors x6 Ancient Kroxigors x6 Ancient Salamander Hunting Pack First round I got paired up against the handsome man Grant Fetter and his Ogres of Chaos. He told me I had one the game on turn two when he charged into my krox with Forsaken and his Khorne Demon Prince, but only the Demon Prince made it. Turns out I am a whiffasaurus and Grant's Demon Prince lived. I still got one point for not having a super massive loss. Second round I faced Tim Flanders beautiful Empire army and was able to pull out the win as well as get the bonus point for 5 points. It was the meeting engagement scenario and we both deployed right on the line, but my combat guys turned out to be better than his guys on that day:) Third round I got Empire again in the from of Zach Shelley's Ulrician themed army. It was a great game and Zach got my favorite opponent vote. We had a real tight fun game, but once again the Krox and Scar Vet proved to be the bane of the Empire. I got the full 5 in this game as well. That night I got a chance to try out Wild West Exodus with Kevin Bruins. It was a ton of fun and I can't wait to play again and am looking forward to finishing my models even more now. Round 4 I was up against a real cool bro Stephen Herner with his nasty Skavenses. After turn 1 we both felt like we were losing. I got a fiery convocation off on his Storm Vermin block and took out about half of them. He took out half a block of Krox with his doom wheel and the other krox he got half of with his Hellpit Abomination. I got 7 wounds on this hellpit in the first round of combat, but he saved all but one, then I did 8 the second round and he saved all but 2. It was so crazy how long he lasted and he ended up taking the whole block of krox with him. It was ridiculous. I did end up getting into the bell unit. He had a block of skaven slaves he could have gotten in my way, but I am not sure why he didn't. Anyway, once I got in there I was able to get all 5 pts. Round 5 was agains Quenting from Leadership 2. He had an all Slannesh Demon army. Mad props for mono god. This was a pretty tight match with some real touch and go moments, but I was able to pick up the full 5 in this game as well. I ended up with 21 battle points and took 22nd overall with my 4-1 record. The Twisted Troop took 3rd in the team battle. It was another fun Warhammer tourney and I am already looking forward to next year, although I did have to stop on the way home due to weather and get a room for the night. Stupid winter travel:)
  3. Thanks! Yep Jesse is resin and the warrior nation hired hands are plastic. I will take some comparison shots for you guys.
  4. Sorry I forgot to take the side by side comparison shots. I will try and remember to do that.. This week I finished painting Flash Point Fire Rescue. I think the running one is my favorite. I also got a bunch for Wild West Exodus constructed. Jesse James I really dig this one This pose is pretty sweet too.
  5. I think they are slightly larger. I can take some side by side shots for you.
  6. You should add some acrylic glowin the dark paint to the mysaki crew:) That would be pretty sweet.
  7. Painted some Flash Point Fire Rescue minis this week. Also got a few more WWE minis constructed. http://s77.photobucket.com/user/Jormi_Boced/media/Wild%20West%20Exodus/wwe_skyspirit.jpg.html I also played a game of Warhammer with Eric. It was the 3rd Scenario for Waaaghpaca and ended up being a crazy game. That scenario is Blood and Glory, so I basically have to keep my slann alive and get rid of as much of his fortitude as I can as quick as I can. So his first turn he moves up and purple suns me taking out a whole unit of krox and a few skinks. My first turn I charged his Tzeentch General on disc and was able to take him out while losing two krox and overunning in to his unit of 7 Khorne Chaos Ogres, which I break and run down on his turn. Meanwhile he gets his dragon ogres into my saurus and really wrecks them, but I am steadfast and hold. I am using skinks and my salamander to take models off of his warrior block because every rank bonus was worth a fortitude based on the scenario. He ended up getting them in the flank of my saurus and his bsb on disk into the rear. He then broke that unit and ran it down and also overran into the unit of skinks with my slann with his warriors and BSB. This looked like game over for me, but I still had some krox that could maybe save me if I could just hold on for them to arrive. So I cast buffs on my unit starting with hand of glory to try and get my WS up to take less wounds. I boosted it and used 4 dice and got it off irresistibly. I then rolled the dimensional cascade and figured I was going to lose the game by sucking my slann into the warp, but the large template killed off enough of his warriors to get rid of his rank bonuses and thus his bonus fortitude and broke it! Craziest ending to a game in a long time.
  8. So this week I got some Flash Point Fire Rescue minis painted. They are pretty fun and cartoony. I really like the dog. There are two commissions on my desk right now. One client wanted rubble on the bases and the other just wanted black paint. I really like the hazmat guy too. The pose and colors really work I think. Also got some more Super Dungeon Explore painted this week. The Lava whirls were fun to paint and I tried a bit of I used some Baal Red on this model and am getting pretty low on it, will miss it when it is gone. Will need to find a replacement, anyone have suggestions? This week I also read the Wild West Exodus comics. They were pretty cool and I look forward to more. I also got a bit of Wild West Exodus construction in. Outlaw Lady of the West Zarelda Warrior Nation Lady of the West Sitting Bull Sitting Bull Alt Sculpt I magnetized the Outlaw Light Cavalry so I can swap out weapons. Overall I am pretty impressed with the minis I have received. I have several more to construct though. I do like the plastic a lot better than the resin though. I have had some broken and poorly molded minis but I have contacted Wild West Exodus about getting them replaced and am optimistic they will be. So far I have just got an auto response that someone will be looking into it.
  9. The holidays occupied a bit of painting time this week, but I did get a bit of work in. The Herald of Vulcanis This is the second Herald I have painted and I really love this model! More SDE My Wild West Exodus box contents! The Great Elk with a wood elf for scale Frank James asssembled I have only assembled these two models so far. Frank James looks great and went together pretty smoothly. The great elk is a really cool model, but the mold left some bad lines and maybe shifted a bit. The back legs are going to require a lot of gap filling and filing at the hip.
  10. It was weird to get a large image of your work, but once I did, it was really good. I like the glossiness on the ice.
  11. Hopefully everyone is having a great Christmas! This week I finished up some more Mice and Mystic Heart of Glorm minis. Caustic Roaches These guys have some glow in the dark paint on them too. Glorm has some glow in the dark paint on him as well. I got Nere painted up too. He had a lot of interesting little details. I really like the ginger root too:)
