So I’ve been reading the wiki, listening to podcasts and I think I have narrowed it down to: Viktorias Von Schill Ulix Now, after listening to schemes & stones (great podcast by the way) I think I was put off a bit by Ulix play style, the whole control bubble thing… When I played Warhammer 40k, I was a big Orks fan. I loved getting stuck in Melee and having lots of models (I understand malifaux is a low model game but that’s where summoning with ulix appealed to me) Also if it helps when I play games like DOTA I really like Dragon Knight, easily my favourite… regen, damage, tank… thus leaning towards outcast with their heals. I do really like melee and getting stuck in though… kind of afraid of Viktorias and their glass cannon aspects I’ve heard about. Would love to get your guys input thanks!

What brand of paints should I paint with? Hello! Here is a bit about me. I played 40k for years, 3rd edition i believe it was. Also played me some WHFB for a while to. That was prob about 7 years ago. Now, I am head over heels for Malifaux and really excited! I am flipping through a rule book my friend lent me and am trying to decide which crew i want. So that brings me to the present situation. Which paints to get. Now I know the actual colors to get will depend on which crew i end up going with, thus my main question in bold at the top. Which brand of paints should I use? When I played warhammer the only paints i knew were the GW/Citadel paints. Now in my years I have seen P3 paints, Reaver (or is it reaper?) some paint called Valle-something. Is there an affordable option that isn't some over priced brand name? I scoured the forums to no avail! Please help!

Dude thanks dragon, is there someone to contact who does the website? It is pretty crucial they advertise those links together, need to make their fluff stick out. It's also silly when you click "Game" and it only gives you a vague couple paragraphs about the game, it is really far too difficult to find an overview for this game. Thank god for tabletop geeks, 2 guys 1 board and lots of terrain, if it weren't for them i probably wouldn't have found this gem. Thanks again dragon, I love the fluff. I insist sir, it makes people smile and ugly people loved.

yah there is just so much to learn which is cool! new book and everything eh? I am trying to look for some sort of list of models and names so i can get a better idea of what i can get into ya know? So far i am only having luck on google images, anyone know any better? A comprehensive unit list if you will.

Great thanks for the clarification! I think I'm about to jump head first into this one, it really seems to fit the bill. Now I to figure out which models to pick! Overwhelmed hurray! I'm basically talking to myself here but idealistically I would want something with a post apocalyptic priest/human oriented kinda set up. From what I have read the balance is pretty good in this game eh??

Hey folks! Noob here! Lol So I am intrigued by this game and am trying to find somewhere locally to get a rulebook, kinda scarce here in Vancouver though I find. Now my biggest question is on victory conditions, is this game just a big meat grinder? Or are there objectives, scenarios etc? I felt that was the strongpoint of at-43 and am looking for something that is along those lines. I've had a hard time finding that in reviews on the web so I am hoping you guys can help me clear that up! Thanks!!
