  1. Currently there is not a huge amount going on in london. There used to be a club in Clapham (Clapham Wargamers Guild) but they have shut their venue. I think the best place to try is Dark Sphere and look at their Malifaux group. Also check out the Facebook groups Under the Bridge and A Wyrd Place since there is regular chat on there and you could ask around about Malifaux in london. Finally there is Cross Gaming Club in Borough, which I help run, but we haven't had Malifaux played there in a while, though I know loads of the members do have crews that they could dig out.
  2. Can I just say how awesome these special ed models are and Wyrd is for making them? I am so impressed. As a miniatures company they are hands down the best. thanks guys
  3. must resist temptation for THIRD order...
  4. I am interested in this, any more details of the event, location, etc? It is only 20mins from me so definitely interested.
  5. Woah, just putting my opinion out there and how I view the costume. I am sure all showgirls are either wearing their costumes or sweats, there is nothing in between. I was merely basing my observations off the fluff as a reason why Wyrd MIGHT do this.
  6. Personally I like the new style. While I would say that they wear the Showgirl dresses, that is for Shows. The rest of the time they will be more practically dressed. I think what she is wearing when they are outside the shows. There are hints of the showgirl dress with the cuffs, low cut dress and I am going to guess high boots, but it is more practical. I am reminded of the story where the showgirls were travelling through the sewers, and this is how they might dress, rather than full costume.
  7. well I am definitely interested now, I can dig out my Arcanists and Ramos and bring him along. Might have to start reading up on M2e rules though. While I support painted models, hopefully this opens it up to others who are not fully painted and will grow the community, which would be really great As long as I know what I need to bring with me I think it is best to hide scenarios. As you say, a balanced pool is going to be better, and there is still a lot of flexibility in that 100ss pool. If it is a story encounter then it is nicer to see how it progresses rather than knowing everything beforehand, like spoilers for a film
  8. Yeah, thank you. I know I could probably scrounge together all the stuff from other people but I don't really like doing that. been responsible for other peoples stuff is not great, and I kinda like playing with my own. TBH there is so much to do at smogcon it is cool. and Casual smogpit malifaux is probably going to be better for me anyway.
  9. yep, I meant Friday, don't know why I said Monday. Got a little fright when you said Thursday though. Personally I will probably be dropping. I can't get the 100ss needed for the pool painted in a month. I will probably just go and play a few games in the smogpit or something Isn't Conrad to blame for everything?
  10. Does the single master event on Monday require a fully painted crew? I have heard rumours that it does, but have not received any communication about this. If it does then I need to get a shift on to get them done
  11. That looks great. Going to have to sort out our set for the club and get some of the more interesting buildings.
  12. Yep, more avatars. And what I got the sense of was they would have a large area effect which will influence both crews. The examples given were mei feng's one makes minions more powerful against henchmen and enforcers, but this affects your opponents crew as well. The other was the brewmaster gets EVERYONE a little drunk.
  13. I really want to see what they do with hans. I had forgotten he existed, and am really excited to see how he changes
  14. I think this may be of interest to anyone who is concerned about sexism in gaming, technology and in general. https://www.upworthy.com/a-ted-talk-that-might-turn-every-man-who-watches-it-into-a-feminist-its-pretty-fantastic-7 ---------- Post added at 09:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:36 PM ---------- And in some countries it is shared equally between both mother and father, and the decision is up to them.
  15. Make mine sweet, this should be a good one
