I'll be around but am unlikely to have more involvement in Malifaux than buying my copy of the new book and doing some Ninja shopping for the local group. Still feeling very jaded with how M2e has been handled. I still haven't decided if I still want to play the game.

Ask PP players about Warroom. It has taken nearly a yeat since its release to get to a usable state abd it is still not complete. I use it but it has a lot of flaws still. To implement the vastly more complex systems of M2E will be harder still. As regards the Gamer's lounge/CFR idea: we need couterpoints and disagreement for those of us who are on the fence to genuinely hear both the positives and negatives. Having the points of view seperate has given us a lot of material that says pretty much nothing.

In the middle of listening now. Interesting that you suggest a Warroom app. Considering the unholy s**tstorm that that app has become for Privateer - a company far in advance of where Wyrd are - this would be possibly the most insane idea of all time. Have to say so far that I feel that this podcast, far from being balanced, is the flip side of the Gamers' lounge coin. They may have been overly negative, but this is very much rose tinted spectacles. Maybe the four people involved need to do a round table so we can genuinely thrash out the successes and failures of M2E.

Sonnia now looks like a freak. I understand the probable fluff reasons for this (cf Lucius and Tyrants), but it's not a direction I like. Her art is one of the few I don't mind, even though it represents a significant shift from her original look.

If you think the Wyrd plastics are among the best in the market then I have a bridge you will probably like. In my humble opinion the plastics I've seen are inferior to the metals and the plastics produced by other companies. It's not close either. This is probably symptomatic of a new manufacturing process but between what I consider to be poor minis and poor art I am very glad I have nearly everything for my faction already.

I'd love to come but it isn't possible this year. Shame...Stirling uni alum and lived just around the corner from CG.

And anyone who actually listened to the cast or followed Bill's blog...or this thread... would know that this was the "case for the prosecution" episode, with a defence podcast to come. All of this whining should make the upcoming "community" episode interesting

I must have missed the meeting that said people who were unhappy with the changes had to stay silent and absolutely not release material that dared not kiss the collective posteriors of Wyrd. Bill and Spencer are unhappy with the changes made to the game. As both have resigned as Henchmen neither owes Wyrd a damn thing. You don't have to agree eith them but you sure as hell don't have the right to moan about them not saying what you want to hear. They were open from the first minute with how they felt - if you get your panties so bunchec up over their opinions why did you listen.?

As a long time player I agree that the new art is far too much post apocalyptic mad Max/ Grimdark. It has lost all the humour and almost all the Gothic Horror. Contradictory as it sounds I think the vast majority of the characters have been turned into parodies of who they were (Ortegas, bulk of the ressers), or is completely unrecognisable as being those characters (Sam, DMs, Judge)...except the Gremlins. THEIR whole appeal was that they were parodies. Now they look all serious and the new art has none of the things that made me unable to resist buying them. Then we get to the horrendous "Anime Con teenage girls" make over the Viktoria's received...ugh. More consistent it may be, but it lacks any charm or soul. Just my opinion. Sadly means that I'll likely not be buying many more Malifaux miniatures though. Additional: Thing I noticed earlier: Why the fornication is the new Ophelia art based on the Miss Demeanour Convict Gunslinger and not Perdita? FAIL.

When I finally get to play M2E - my time has been very limited lately so I haven't played in a while now - I hope I will like it. Sadly I feel that the game's imagery has moved away from the feel which drew me into the game in the first place. I like almost none of the new art, and feel it is severely lacking in the Gothic-Horror feel which I felt Malifaux had. I am very disappointed in nearly all the art for my main faction - the Guild - and am even less happy about the complete overhaul that has been given to the Kin and Viktorias crews. This has had a very negative effect on my desire to play Malifaux at all. I will be at Gencon. I will buy copies of the Rulebook for myself and for some of my local group. I will give the game itself a go. Sadly, if the previews we have seen so far are any indication and there has not been a drastic improvement in the quality of the models from the plastics I bought from book 4, then I will probably be playing the game with my existing miniatures and spending my money elsewhere.

A complete rewrite of "does not die" so it isn't a stupidly broken lump of rules cludge that makes no damn sense whatsoever.

Not sold on it. Doesn't fill me with loathing like thr LadyJ art did...but I have less invested in Marcus. I want confirmation that they've not turned the SRM from a Bear to a Gorilla and a better look at Myranda before I decide. Marcus himself looks good.

If only "Finish the job" had been a (0)...seeing as DMs don't have a (0) and will never use a (1) to put it up (or at least VERY rarely. I've never used it.). Maybe in M2E. We'll see. I'd hope DMs would finally get a (0).

Which is why the Alt sculpt was so good. She was actually wearing fairly sensible clothing with minimal flesh exposed. She LOOKED like a kick arse character. This is just...well...another cheesecake ninja.
