  1. We are starting to get a few responses for the upcoming Malifaux demo and open play. If you are in the Dallas area, please come out and join us!
  2. Just a reminder of the upcoming open play and Malifaux demo games going on at Madness Games and Comics in Plano TX. I saw some other people from the Dallas area complaining about now place to play. Well come and join us on April 30th around 12 noon for Malifaux goodness.
  3. We will be hosting a Malifaux demo game and open play event on April 30th 2011 at Madness Games and Comics in Plano, TX (http://www.facebook.com/madnessgames?sk=info). The event will start at approximately 12 pm and anyone is welcome to join us. We will have plenty of different crews for people to try out. If anyone is interested in attending PM me and I can give you more info/mark you down.
  4. I think a lot of the local community are waiting for the small rule book. We have a small group up here in Dallas and everyone seems to have slacked off a bit. I sometimes get down to Austin to visit relatives, where do you folks play?
  5. Yeah, If you are a Malifaux addict (like most of us) you will findthatthe Malifaux bag is just too small. Too carry all my Malifaux stuffi have two Battlefoam Malifaux bags and one Sabol bag ( of about the same size as the Malifaux bag). I have almost everything from book 1 and 3 or 4 masters and crews from book 2. I wish I had gotten the larger Battlefoam bag, or that Battlefoam had some kind of trade-in program.
  6. Doh! What about Tamiya's dull spray sealer?
  7. Try using some Testors dull coat spray over the models. I do like the light effect on Marcus, but I also agree that it looks like your paint was put on too thick on most models. You probably should thin the paint some.
  8. Love the name. Please just make sure the audio quality is good. I just listened to the D6 Generation where they interviewed the guy from Spartan games and the sound quality on his end was so bad that it drove me crazy. Really bad audio can hurt you more than little content.
  9. For the cloak I based it with Reaper muddy soil, then dry brushed it up with lighter shades of brown up to an ivory color. For the hair I think I based it with a dark tan and then highlighted up a couple of shades of lighter brown. I used all Reaper paints except for a few GW washes in a few spots. I usually don't do a lot of dry brushing, but the texture on the cloak lends itself to dry brushing. For snow I just use baking soda. I use PVA glue and then apply the baking soda, wait for it to dry then use a spray sealer to keep if from flaking off. Then apply a second and third coat as necessary to build up the depth.
  10. All of my Rasputina models have snow bases, but I painted all the other models a long time ago so the colors may not match exactly. Not a big deal since the snow on the bases blends them together.
  11. Just finished the Silent One model for my Rasputina crew. I love the model and the stats for the model so I'm thinking I'll dust off my Rasputina crew soon to give it a go. Unfortunately when I was putting this model on it's base the arm fell off and I had to re-attach it so the joint where the arm attaches is kind of messed up. I did this one in about a day (on and off) since I loved the model I just kept on painting.
  12. I have not, but I'll have to give it a shot next time I have some gold.
  13. No, fog is not blocking, it is obscuring.
  14. Let's not forget mature nephilim and their flight plus carry. Carrying Lilith into melee range of Nicodem usually means one dead Nicodem.
  15. ROFL! I was sitting here, listening to some Dio, painting up my Lucius crew and I was thinking about this very topic. I use a lot of Reaper paints (they are based out of Denton which is about 20 minutes from my house) and for me, my most used/favorite paints are (in no particular order): Reaper Stormy grey (base coat for pretty much any grey to white color) Reaper Muddy Soil (base coat for most of my bases and any red colors) Reaper Golden Shadow (base coat for anything that is gold colored) GW Devlan Mud wash (for coloring in cracks that I missed between colors and for layering on top of Golden Shadow for gold items)
