  1. I do a lot of undead. I generally end up using GW Rotting flesh to start, recently I used Sage by Reaper I think. They both look similar. Then i just wash it with a light purple wash. The effect comes out moldy greyish with a shodowy purple. A friend was using Rotting Flesh with a brown wash that gave a "freshly dead" grey green yellow look to it. Looked like the figure walked off the morgue table.

  3. I just finished these last night. Hope you like. Next up...Joss and a Flesh Construct.
  4. We played our last game with some Whitewash Buildings and they work very well. Add to the Western theme. For those without the time to scratchbuild these a re a great alternatve.
  5. Thanks for the nice comments. I don't know how it happened, but I like my Mortimer too. He probably has the most character of all. Thanks a again
  6. Love the Seamus crew. Great colors. I like colors darker and more realistic. Good undead feel. It took me a hile to like the Seamus models, but as I see the models painted more and more, I find them to be interesting. After reading about Seamus and the Belles abailities, I see the interest many have in the crew. Definately gonna pick them up soon.
  7. Been playing Nicodem for 4 games. On Friday, we tried a three way battle. You can't beat a bunch of corpse token hanging around to build into more punk zombies. Knock one down and reanimate it back. Nobody wanted to touch me till the end, by then the board had several corpse tokens. If I hadn't been so cautious in movement, I could have had a bunch of mindless zombies roaming around too. Nico took a while to learn, but I'm likeing him more and more.
  8. Just posted these in the member showcase area. http://wyrd-games.net/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=2425
  9. I'm okay with a remake. Looks like fun, and really the first was just fun too. I wonder where the Giant Kraken Toy I had went?
  10. I agree with a lot of the above sentiments. Nico is my main crew and I've played only a couple of times. I kept thinking I could finally get my mindless zombies in a hoarde, but it just doesn't happen with Mortimer. Definately useful for moving the undead along using "Fresh Meat", but I kept wasting time having him exhume and he was never where I needed him to back up Nico. Next time, I'll forget the exhume and use him for more range and melee attacks while Nic sends forth the undead and reanimates those that perish.
  11. Definately try it. I bought the rulebook and am proxying figs until mine come in. The game is a blast and unlike many games I've played where one bad roll of the dice loses the game, at least with the card mechanics you have a choice on cheating fate with a good control hand. I've seen the tides turn in 2-3 different rounds because if it. I've played two games so far and can't wait to play my third and fourth games. Usually, I give up on games after a couple of tries for various reasons. This one keeps me coming back. Enjoy and get a demo if you can.
  12. oh forgot...yes I think we picked up the basic mechanics quickly...it's just all of the spells abilities triggers to remember. I think I will try to proxy Nico's crew next time and start really studying what he can do.
  13. We both had agrand time. Yes, smething about flame burst really scream witch hunter! And she was awesome with it. The rapid fire and flaming bullets from Sam helped out, as well as the Witchling Stalkers and their rang and melee. I unfortunately always chose poor hands and card flips, but having the soulstones helped immensely.
  14. Learning game today with another newbie. I played Sonnia (one crew I'm thinking of purchasing). I like her combination of range, melee, and magic. Allows for a pretty flexible character. Early on Zoraida's Silurids got in close by leaping and one of my witchling was controlled (obey) by Zoraida through the voodoo doll totem to charge Sonnia. Sonnia got pretty beat up and burned through soulstones and the control hand to keep her alive in the next turn. All ranged attacks went after the Silurids and I was able to take all of them out with Samael's rapid fire and flaming bullets, the witchlings ranged attacks and Sonnia's Flame Burst. Juju came lumbering in and attacked Samael, knocking him down a few, then with witchlings and Samael surrounding him used his landslide to hurt them more, I think at that point killing Samael. Sonnia was going to get into the fray, but our playtime ran out. Where we left it was Juju getting initiative, so he was essentially going to take out some more of Sonnia's crew and probably her. All in all, I think we both came away finding a really fun, interesting game. I really liked the ability to use resources to save characters in duels when it really mattered. It didn't just leave the game up to a bad hand. There was plenty of resource management to think about, and this kinda kept the ability to "win" within each of our reach. I'm definately hooked and can't wait to play another game. Sorry for the very general battle report. Until I get all of the terminology and not having to concentrate so hard in games, it was hard to rememebr the exact sequence of events.
  15. good to see another from CO! WombatCowboy gave me a demo today and I had a blast. Great game.
