  1. Ordered one of these, and some extra goodies besides. I've been meaning to for a while anyway, but this kit sealed the deal for me. Even the Hirst arts pipes happen to be from a mold that I do not have.
  2. Go for bass wood over balsa-- it's a lot stronger and a little heavier. You won't regret it.
  3. looking good! I', looking forward to seeing the results.
  4. He's decent. The warpig is a pretty good bargain for what you get, and you can get some amazing results with stampede. They are pretty darn tricky to play well, though. What you really get from Teeth is the ability to heal and summon as much as you please, and don't underestimate "pull my finger", either. The damage isn't optional. It can also be devastating with a load of mosquitoes. I like two kinds of lists: Warpig/Whisperer stampede lists and Gremlin/Mosquito recursion lists.
  5. They involve lots of choices-- and lots of choices mean that you can have lots of chances to screw up. If you miss with a ranged shot, you shoot your buddy, if you set off a stampede too early or accidentally, you can decimate your side. Stuff like that. However, they are lots of fun, and each game should be lots of fun! I'm a big fan.
  6. I do the same sort of thing, DeafNala. It's easy and fun!
  7. What's the best place to get HellDorado figs in the USA? I looked around a bit, but couldn't find 'em. I found GB and French sites, but I'd rather not get eviscerated by the exchange rate and shipping costs. Also, what is the game like anyway? I know it's skirmish level, the figs are gorgeous, and you are fighting in hell, but little more than that.
  8. Well, is this the site redesign we've heard so much about? I'm excited! Let's speculate wildly-- I'm guessing announcement of sitcom tie-in. (Oh that wacky Seamus!)
  9. I'm a hog fan. I should have a battle report after Saturday.
  10. I love leap so much-- especially in maps with lots of variable elevation bits, like cities.
  11. This is a good problem to have. Kudos!
  12. What AoM said. Crappy woodland scenics also mixes nicely with both inks and paints to make a lovely (if translucent) scum. As ever, I can hardly recommend "fine art" gels/mediums/effects, either. Look at michaels/A.C. Moore/art supply store for lots and lots of fun things to mix with paints or inks. (Inks are better, generally) I'm a big liquitex fan (natural sand and string gel, heck yeah!), but Golden makes some lovely stuff, too. Check this guy out-- he's embellished with modeling paste, string gel, and gloss medium. Not too shabby, eh?
  13. Hey, yeah! what about painting contest pics? I'd love to see those.
  14. Lots of wyrd folks around here- Dream wizards and Hobbytown usa in Frederick are full of us
