Hello all, I signed up for a few of the tourneys this year and just had the time to read the gaining ground rules. I didn't realize that I could not use a printed off stat card, should I turn in my ticket? I have only managed to play a few games of Malifaux and was hoping to get some games in at GenCon. I plan on buying the stat cards at the booth if availiable I just hadn't realized the rule until it is to late to order online. Thanks for any help you all can give me.

The terrian used was actually buildings from GW Mordenhiem I got from a guy selling all his terrain. The buildings worked nice for a run down section of town. I'm planning on making some buildings that fit the theme of this game though.

Hello everyone, I have been collecting Wyrd Minis ever since I stumbled upon them at GenCon a few years back. I watched the playtesting last year at GenCon and made a point to check things out this year. I was so happy to see a rulebook and boxed armies even if my wallet wasn't,hehe. I also really liked having the ability of buying just the models I needed for a boxed set seperate. I have had some of the models for a time but had yet found a use for them other than showing off gorgeous minis. I am in the process of converting my group back here in CT. and am excited about the game. I look forward to new models and years of play.

Tonight my brother and I played our first game of Malifaux. We used the boxed armies for Lady Justice and Nicodem at 25 soulstones. I played Lady Justice and had to eliminate all enemy models and my brother had to hold a building in the center of the board. We wanted to try out as much of the characters abilities so just charged forward and started throw cards. Mortimer advanced and nearly killed one Death Marshal but then was charged by Lady Justice who inflicted moderate damage onto him. The game went back and forth but really came down to the final turn we played. Lady Justice and 2 Death Marshals were down to 2 wounds each. Nicodem won initiative and cast decay three times on Lady Justice, each time I drew the exact number I needed to resist. The judge activated and killed a punk zombie followed by a Death Marshal finishing another. The game took little over 1 hour and that was with rulebook flipping and each player reading cards carefully before making a move. It was really fun and we plan on another game soon.
