I am currently running gremlins, but I use to play during first edition and have most of the outcast models from then.

Not sure if you are still interested and what you have. I just ordered the CoBM and I should have it on my hands this next weekend. I would be interested in trying it out. My usual gaming store is Hero Complex. As far as I know, I am the only person who has anything so far, but Malifaux has had a few moments of strong support in the area, so there may be others in the area that will be interested.

This upcoming weekend, there is going to be a convention call Encounters. On friday evening I will be running demos of evil baby orphanage and on saturday a speed painting contest. Special guest include Jim Butcher, the author of the Dresden files, Rick Stasi, with DC and Marvel, Jamie Machi, anime voice actress and Caitlynn French another anime voice actress. I know some of the guest have agreed to participate in the speed painting contest and the models they paint will be up for a charity auction later in the convention. Updated Information, At the moment I have table space for 8 players for the Malifaux tournament, but if we have enough people sign up I can wrangle up some more table space. The tournament will be set to 25ss with an additional 10ss side board. All Strategies are shared, and are A Line in the Sand, Deliver a Message, and Reconnoiter. Players can pick their schemes as normal. I will also be running painting clinics along with speed painting contests. You will want to test your primer first, use a section sprue. I learned that my usually krylon primer did not like mr. tannen, it ruined the detail and made the plastic soft. Not sure what caused it, I have an idea but there is no way of know for sure.

It was my Levi crew that won best painted, I also wanted to say thanks for running a great tournament.

Hero Complex will be hosting a Painting League and Demo Days for the following days, each of the dates have a theme. Everyone can enter more then one model, and every entry is $1.00 Entries will be judged on the Sunday following each of the theme dates listed. All models must be entered before the end of the day of the themes. Entry fees go to prize support. Friday July 13, Master and Henchmen Friday July 27, Monsters and large base models Friday August 10th, Ladies and August 24th, Crew of 3 to 5 models. zombie dogs are very good for Hamlin because of their combat trigger effects WP and does not go away till the model dies or Ortega it away.

Datsue-ba is the Japanese version of Charon in western myth, she judges souls by by shaving off the bad parts of the someone until what remains is judged pure. There are other stories where she works with an old man named Kenoe and she sometimes force people to do meaningless never ending tasks like pile rocks. How she is tied to Kirai I am not certain of, there has been no background story that explains why. I believe it is hinted in Datsue-ba description in book 2, but nothing solid.

The most I have taken at one time in a game is two. I never really got a good feel for how they worked together, the local Ramos player killed them off fairly quickly. My thoughts on them is most ressers are not going to want them, they have limited synergy in faction. Outside of the faction I think they fill solid rolls for both Hamlin and Marcus but that is about it.
