We're currently updating the site and a few things may run slow or not as expected at the moment. Give us a day or two to get everything sorted out and changed up if you would.

One of the new things you'll see about are the 'sticky notes' which you will occasionally see from the site Admins if something important shows up or is newsworthy, or if you happen to be in one of our many beta testing groups giving you an additional heads up when something new needs to be looked at or sorted.

You can send these amongst yourselves as well if you wish, just don't abuse it.

Thanks for your patience!

I've determined that these models and upgrades are essential to my version of the Neverborn Lucius crew.

Core

36/50ss

Lucius
 +Legalese [1]
 +Secret Assets [2]
 +Suprisingly Loyal [1]

The Scribe [2]
Doppleganger [7]
 +Useless Duplications [1]
Guild Lawyer [6]
Changeling [4]
Changeling [4]
Mr. Graves [8]

This allows for some interesting variations: featuring one of two high cost models (Candy or Mysterious Emissary) or a mix of mid to low cost models and upgrades (Beckoner/Tannen/Retribution's Eye or Beckoner/Changeling/Retribution'e Eye/+2ss cache).

Kkind of makes me wonder if paying the 1SS for Surprisingly Loyal is worth it for the one lawyer.  Having picked up Lucius' box recently, I can appreciate what a lawyer can do, but you're effectively spending +1 SS for the lawyer, as well as burning an upgrade slot which could get you some interesting benefits. I'm almost thinking that Fears Given Form might be put to better use in this context. First, it forces a Wp duel to be able to attack him, then you can use Highest Authority to discard and make the attack suffer :-fate...

I certainly understand where you're coming from, and I did agonize over whether or not to bring the Lawyer, but I must!  As some others have also mentioned: I would bring two Lawyers, if I felt I could get away with it.  I like them so much, that I'm tempted to run Guild during Shifting Loyalties campaigns, it's a shame I don't fancy guardsmen at all, because then I would.  You may mean something else, as Fears Given Form is a Df duel or 3 wounds, when activating within engagement range.  However, the upgrade is still a neat idea, though I might be concerned with Lucius' command bubble disadvantaging his minions, given the close proximity, especially if my opponent has the ability to push them into Lucius' 1"; a great way to pop a wounded Changeling.

I gave a non-Lawyer list a try, focusing on Changelings and the Mysterious Emissary, it was fairly killy. Not quite my play style, but it was satisfying. I think I prefer Candy's approach better.

I'm looking at double lawyer lists as well, one to keep nearby and one to send out for schemes. In a way, that would mean the prosecution and defense would both be on my payroll. Heh.
